Inner Spaces by Benoit Florencon

Top photographer and good friend Benoit Florencon has recently released this great photo project on local Shanghai producers entitled Inner Spaces. Benoit is the guy responsible for all the AM444 photo shoots (in fact, while I’m writing this he is out with Jay and ChaCha on their new shoot) as well as documenting a lot of the past events at Shelter and other venues around town. Here is Benoit’s description of the project:

Under the thick layers of concrete, business and pollution that coat Shanghai, there are a group of talented producers and MCs shaping the musical landscape of this ever-growing city. Mixing quotes and imagery, Inner Spaces is a photo documentary introducing these talents and voicing their opinions on different aspects of the city’s music scene. Inner Spaces is an hymn for the local underground movement.’

The Inner Spaces project is still ongoing and a physical version is in planning for later this year. Check out the latest version of Inner Spaces here.
